Who is ConsumerMatch.com?

ConsumerMatch.com is owned and operated by Mediapolis, Inc., a privatly held California Incorporation. We are located in Fresno, in the heart of California's Central Valley in the United States of America.

Company History

The whole concept of creating a Shopping Portal Website like ConsumerMatch.com (Shop-Links.net) started in the beginning of 2001 as an Idea of Carsten Cumbrowski.

He originally partnered with Thomas Gerlach, a long time friend from Germany (Carsten was born and grew up in Berlin/Germany), who introduced Carsten to the concept of Performance (Affiliate) Marketing at the end of the year 2000.

Thomas was at this time doing email marketing very successfully without having a permanent Website to be able to establish his own customer base and do effective cross selling. He relied heavily on Mailing List aquisitions.

The creation of a permanent Website and Shopping Portal seemed to be a good idea to expand and diversify the business. Unfortunately did Thomas and Carsten not reach a consens about the details of the partnership and decided to part.

Thomas continued his marketing email business and Carsten concentrated on building the Website which became the Shopping Directory Shop-Links.net. Soon after did Bruno Boehi join the project. Bruno is a friend and coworker of Carsten who was born and raised in Switzerland and moved to Fresno/CA at the same time as Carsten.

The year 2001 was the year of Site building and learning. Financial success came in 2002, which resulted in the creation of Mediapolis, Inc.

Re-Birth

Being not happy with the hyphened .net domain name and the unprofessional look and feel of Shop-Links.net triggered the creation of the professionally designed and re-programmed Shopping Portal ConsumerMatch.com which was officially launched in summer of 2003.

The company and website continues to grow continuesly with milestones like the Product Catalog Integration and launch of co-branded services in the year 2005.

The inventory of available Coupons and Promotions was extended and Price Comparison features were introduced with the goal to help consumers to find great quality products and services for the best price possible.
