About Ignatius Press Ignatius Press is the largest U.S. publisher and distributor of Catholic Books, magazines, videos and music.
The Company is over 25 years in this business and has over 800 Titels in print. Authors include Popes (John Paul II and Benedict XVI) , Cardinals, Bishops and other well known people including famous authors like J.R.R. Tolkien and Mark Twain.
Ignatius Press has grown continuously throughout its more than 20 years of existence, and a major factor in this growth has been retail bookstores.
There is great concern among booksellers that e-commerce may have a serious negative impact on a business where book sales have rarely provided large revenues or margins.
Ignatius Press has had its own web site (ignatius.com) since 1995. We are in the process of enhancing it, but are searching for ways to do so which will assist rather than harm the booksellers who have done so much to make us successful.
One of the means we have decided to adopt is to give all our web customers the choice of buying items on line, or locating the nearest bookstore that carries Ignatius PressBooks. We will have available on our web site the name, address, telephone number, and map location of all the bookstores that carry our Books.
