Like the pear trees growing in the rich, loamy soil along Northern California's Russian River, the Thomas family draws its life from the land. Deeply rooted for four generations, our family has been farming pears since 1919, when our grandfather, Alex Thomas, traveled west seeking new possibilities.
Once called butter fruit, the rich, honeyed sweetness of ripened pears is a family passion. We nurture heirloom varieties, carrying on a long tradition dedicated to producing pears of superior quality.
