Fredhager.com, America's first and most successful online technology investment newsletter. Our mission at Fredhager.com is to provide individual investors with the very best technology investment choices for both the long-term and short-term, and to keep our subscribers up to speed with their investments through weekly updates, special reports and "buy" and "sell" alert emails.
Fred Hager believes the best way to invest for the long-term is to choose a limited number of the right securities and to hold them through the inherent tech-sector ups and downs. Fred's long-term track record proves this strategy works. For active investors with higher risk tolerances, we offer our Trader's Corner Hedge Fund model portfolio and the Million Dollar LEAPS Plan portfolio.
At Fredhager.com, we have four investment model portfolios ranging from long-term, non-leveraged, to aggressive, leveraged and using LEAPS options. We have two real money portfolios with Fredhager.com funds. All portfolios hold a limited number of securities, usually between 5 and 10, and all are for subscribers to emulate.
In December 1999, Fredhager.com initiated the Million Dollar Plan portfolio, an actual portfolio with $50,000 of the company's money. The goal of the portfolio was to grow the $50,000 investment to $1,000,000 in five years using securities and LEAPS. We accomplished the goal in 74 days! We're continuing to manage the portfolio under the name, Actual Account Portfolio.
In our flagship model portfolios, A and B, initiated in 1986, both carry more or less the same issues. Portfolio A is more conservative and uses no leverage. Portfolio B utilizes options and buying on margin.
For the last 13 years, portfolio A has exceeded 30% compounded annual growth and portfolio B has exceeded 40% compounded annual growth. Over the years, Fred has come to the conclusion that the fewer the transactions and the greater the concentration, the better the performance of the portfolios.
Our Elite and Next Generation Technology portfolios, concentrate on long-term investing in newer companies with greater growth prospects. We created the portfolios to compliment A and B, and often we will move selections from the Elite into A and/or B. Company requirements and potential for the Elite and Next Generation portfolios are the same as portfolio A and B. The Next Generation was launched in October 2000 with $100,000 of Fredhager.com funds.
The Trader’s Corner Hedge Fund model portfolio was started in 1998, and finished 1999 up 122% for the year. Fred chooses LEAPS and securities of companies he believes will perform extremely well in the short-term. While the bulk of the articles on the site pertain to the advantages of long-term investing, in today’s market, if you know which companies are hot, they are going to move, and move fast. Please go to the "Trader’s Corner" section to learn more.
For investors looking to maximize their investment dollars by managing a portion of their funds independently, but don't want to waste their time second-guessing companies or taking a shot at questionable investment choices, Fredhager.com offers a peace of mind. We follow your investments for you and let you know when we have bought or sold one of our holdings. Fredhager.com believes in simplifying the technology investment process by choosing a limited selection of the right companies and following them very closely.
