Background of the CEO/Founder
The Allergy Buyers Club is the brainchild of Mercia Tapping. After 10 years of ill health, addiction to painkillers, and 20 doctors later, Mercia discovered that she had environmental allergies. Her fight back to health was lonely and confusing. Now, rarely using medication, Mercia has made sufficient changes in her lifestyle so that the record-breaking allergy season of 1998 was of little concern to her.
Mercia's professional background is in psychology and management. Over a career history of nearly 25 years, she has been at various times a professor of psychology at major universities such as Cornell, a clinical psychologist heading a crisis unit, a successful entrepreneur in high-tech launching several million dollar ventures such as EEC systems, Istel, USA, and more. She recently has a ten-year history of consulting to major corporations in the fields of marketing and organizational development. Her major corporate clients have included Digital Equipment Corporation, Owens Corning, Compaq Computer, Lockheed Corp, and Public Service and Gas of New Jersey. Entrepreneurial clients included Lids Corp and The Diet Workshop. She also founded "The Executives Forum For Women", a roundtable support group for women CEOs.
The Allergy Buyers Club is a product of her commitment to health and desire to contribute to the health of others who may have encountered the same or similar problems when combating allergies.

Our primary mission is to create a portal site for the allergy, asthma and sinus community which provides one stop information, community, and e-commerce solutions.

We offer some products directly from The Allergy Buyers Club in addition to those offered through other merchants at special prices. Our prices reflect wholesale prices, plus shipping at cost, order processing and a modest additional fee to cover our administrative costs.
