History
At Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts, we consider it our privilege to serve and inspire your creativity through unmatchable product selection, education and an atmosphere dedicated to helping you achieve your creative dreams.
Just like your family, our family of stores has grown over the years. In 1943, we opened our first store, Cleveland Fabrics, on Superior Avenue in East Cleveland. We sold fabrics and notions, watched hemlines rise and fall and welcomed delightful new fabrics, notions, patterns and products with each new decade. Looking back, one theme always prevailed: our customers' creativity compelled us to achieve more.
Today, our customers' creativity still comes first. Through our over 970 stores nationwide, we now serve the decorating, sewing and crafting needs of more creative Americans than ever before.
